Winter weather

The past few weeks have been a bit rough...I am back at grad school full time, my schedule is full, and some quirky things have happened. The weather has been cold and misable and the gloom cloud of winter has reached saturation.

Monday my dad was in a bad car accident - he did not show up for work and his boss called my mom...my brother Shawn set out in his truck to find him and ...no luck. Shawn saw a spot where an accident had occured and thought...wow that looks bad. After arriving home Shawn, Mom, and Alison called the town road crew, police, and hospitals. Dad was found at Cortland Memorial Hospital. He suffered only minor injuries and will be fine but the panic of the day was quite overwhelming. I have this forboding fear of my father dying, I can't imagine my life and our family without him.

My dad's car is totaled and my parents did not have collision insurance - my dad is off work for the rest of this week but next week he does not have a car to drive to work.

I am so thankful my dad is ok. I have the opportunity to hug him and to tell him I love him - I am blessed and I can see the sunshine through the cloudy day!
